Every successful organisation relies on a strong and dedicated board of directors to guide its growth and development. With that in mind, the SMA Charity Fund (SMACF) is pleased to welcome and introduce our three new Board members: Dr June Goh, Ms Goh Eng Cher and Ms Usha Chandradas.
Dr June Goh is a senior consultant in anaesthesiology with a keen interest in medical education. As chairperson of the Organ Donation Oversight Committee at Singapore General Hospital and director of philanthropy in the SingHealth Anaesthesiology and Perioperative Sciences Academic Clinical Programme, Dr Goh's passion for sustainability in the OTs will help guide our organisation towards more environmentally responsible practices. Her involvement in various community organisations, including the Association of Women Doctors (Singapore) and the Singapore Council of Women's Organisations, also highlights her dedication to social causes.
Ms Goh Eng Cher brings to the Board more than 20 years of experience in trusts, private wealth and taxes from her role as co-head of the Private Wealth Practice at Allen & Gledhill LLP. Her expertise in complex international fiduciary structures will undoubtedly be an asset to SMACF. Ms Goh's extensive knowledge of the trust industry and regulatory governance changes will prove invaluable as our organisation continues to evolve and grow.
Ms Usha Chandradas is a co-founder of Plural Art Mag, a Singapore-based digital art magazine that offers accessible content on modern and contemporary Southeast Asian art. Her 12 years of experience as a tax lawyer, and as a lecturer in international tax law at the Nanyang Technological University, makes her well equipped to guide our organisation through any legal and financial challenges that may arise. Ms Chandradas also has a strong commitment to community service, having volunteered with Pro Bono SG and served as a council member of the Law Society of Singapore.
We are thrilled to welcome Dr June Goh, Ms Goh Eng Cher and Ms Usha Chandradas to our Board of Directors. Their extensive expertise and commitment to community service make them valuable additions to our team, and we look forward to working with them as we continue to drive our organisation forward!
SMACF would like to thank outgoing Board members Mr T K Udairam and Mr Colin Lim for their immense contributions to SMACF since its inception. We would also like to take this opportunity to wish them all the best in their future endeavours and we look forward to their continued support of our cause.
