Senior Executive - Event & Committee Support
Responsibilities:
You will report mainly to the Manager/Head of Department (HOD). Your responsibilities include:
- To support the team that organises our professional seminars, lectures and training courses.
- To be responsible for sourcing for venue, budget management, logistics arrangement, coordination with speakers/attendees, simple IT support (including during Zoom events), post-event feedback, etc.
- To support the Head of Department (HOD) in the preparation of meetings and minutes as may be required from time to time.
- To work with the HOD on new programmes that could be developed from time to time to meet the educational and professional needs of our members and SMA.
- To assist the HOD with the Complaints Committee, including the processing and monitoring of complaints received by SMA, as well as the maintenance of the complaints database.
- To assist the SMA Council in International Relations, including the planning and booking of travel itineraries, and organising of the annual local/overseas meeting.
- Maintain the department's pages on the SMA website (https://sma.org.sg) and SMA CMEP website (https://smacmep.org.sg/) and ensure information is kept up-to-date.
- Any other responsibilities as required by the HOD, Executive Director (CMEP), and Chief Administrator.
Requirements:
- Diploma holders with experience in event management/marketing preferred.
- Candidates with an IT background, or IT-savvy will be favourably considered. Skilled in Microsoft Office applications and able to provide support for events on teleconferencing platforms (e.g. Zoom).
- Good command of written and spoken English. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, resourceful and creative solution-finder with a positive work attitude.
- Meticulous and with good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and a team player.
- Willing to work on weekday nights and weekends from time to time (time-off will be given).

Job Description
Responsibilities
You will report mainly to the Manager/Head of Department and support him in the following areas:
- Manage governance requirements with external stakeholders to ensure all necessary compliance is met.
- Research potential donors to gain insight into needs, beliefs and donation habits to understand how to position SMACF to them, and cultivate new corporate donors.
- Deliver presentations to promote the work of SMACF and its fundraising events and activities.
- Lead and coordinate donor and beneficiary outreach events.
- Provide support for collaborative fundraising with corporate partners including giving advice on fundraising and attending events.
- Develop and design fundraising materials including proposals, reports, donation appeals, sponsorship packages, and publicity of events.
- Identify, develop and implement innovative fundraising activities including leveraging on technology and social media where possible, to improve fundraising activities.
- Maintain the SMACF website and ensure information is kept up-to-date
- Any other duties or tasks as assigned by the Management.
Requirements
- Excellent command of oral and written English.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related discipline.
- At least 5 years of work experience; experience in fundraising is preferred.
- Good networking ability and proficiency in face-to-face solicitation for donations, and enjoy meeting people.
- Social media savvy.
- Proficient in organising and managing events or activities.
- Innovative, resourceful, team player, mature and able to work independently.
- Quick to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
