Position Statements / Advisories

SMA represents its membership on issues of importance to the medical profession, such as private healthcare insurance, managed care, medical ethics and practice matters. It also provides a platform for its younger members (junior doctors and medical students) to voice their concerns. As part of its advocacy work, SMA regularly issues Position Statements and Advisories, as well as letters to the press.
