Feedback on shortage of tetanus vaccine
SMA recently received feedback from several members highlighting that there could be a shortage of tetanus vaccines. We reviewed the situation and wrote in to the Ministry of Health (MOH). MOH replied that they are reviewing the issue with urgency and will keep SMA informed on the next steps as soon as possible.
Passing of Dr Robert Loh
The SMA Council expresses our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the family of Dr Robert Loh Choo Kiat on his passing on 31 January 2017. Dr Loh was one of the founding members of SMA and served as SMA President from 1964 to 1965. He was conferred the SMA Honorary Membership in 1999 for his meritorious service to the medical profession in Singapore.
Passing of Dr Margaret Mungherera
The SMA Council is saddened to be informed of the passing of Dr Margaret Mungherera, Past President of the World Medical Association (WMA), on 4 February 2017. Dr Mungherera served as President of the WMA from 2013 to 2014. She participated in the WMA/INSEAD Leadership and Communication Course held in Singapore, in 2013.

CorpPass
CorpPass is a corporate digital identity for businesses and other entities (such as non-profit organisations and associations) to transact with government agencies online. Businesses currently conduct business transactions through multiple digital identities such as SingPass and e-Services Authorisation System. Having a single corporate digital identity will increase convenience for users who transact with multiple government agencies, as they no longer need to handle multiple login IDs. CorpPass has been rolled out since September 2016 and more government digital services will be added on progressively. By December 2017, more than 200 government digital services managed by about 60 government agencies will require CorpPass as a login method for businesses, including medical clinics.
