NEHR contribution requirements
On 27 July 2026, the Ministry of Health (MOH) published a reference guide summarising the health information components required for contribution to the National Electronic Health Record (NEHR). The guide helps healthcare providers understand the appropriate data that should be submitted to NEHR under the Health Information Act.

SMA joins Healthcare iSSWG
On 14 October 2026, SMA officially became a member of the Healthcare Industry Safety and Security Watch Group (iSSWG), formed by the Singapore Police Force (SPF). The Healthcare iSSWG aims to foster collaboration between SPF and the healthcare sector to co-create a safer healthcare environment to tackle crime and security issues.

Health Sciences Authority (Amendment) and Other Matters Bill
On 4 August 2026, the Health Sciences Authority (Amendment) and Other Matters Bill was tabled in Parliament. The proposed law seeks to confer functions on the Health Sciences Authority in the administration and enforcement of certain laws currently under MOH, and also to provide administrative services to healthcare profession regulatory bodies in place of the Singapore Medical Council.
