AI in Your Practice: Cutting the Admin, Not the Care

About the Session
Singapore healthcare professionals are spending a growing proportion of their working day on tasks
that have nothing to do with patient care. Documentation, referral letters, patient follow-ups,
appointment coordination, and NEHR submissions have all increased under Healthier SG, and the
administrative load falls on everyone involved in running a practice or a department.
AI tools that address these pressures are already live in Singapore clinics and hospitals today. This
session gives SMA members a practical look at what is available, how to evaluate it responsibly,
and how to take a first step that fits your setting.

What We'll Cover
AI Tools Already Running in Singapore
A grounded look at what AI tools are live in Singapore clinics and hospitals today, what they are
delivering across clinical documentation, patient communications, and chronic disease screening.

How to Evaluate
Three questions every doctor and practice manager should ask before adopting any AI tool,
including what to look for on patient data, PDPA compliance, and regulatory approval.

What the New Guidelines Mean for You
What Singapore's updated AI in Healthcare Guidelines mean in plain language for doctors and
those running healthcare operations.

Your First Move
A practical framework for identifying where AI can make the biggest difference in your specific
setting and how to get started.

What You'll Take Away
• How AI can help reduce the time your practice spends on administrative work by up to 50%, and
where to start
• A clear picture of which AI tools are already running in Singapore clinics and hospitals and what
they are delivering
• How to evaluate any AI tool before bringing it into your practice, including what to ask about
patient data, PDPA compliance, and data security
• What Singapore's AI in Healthcare Guidelines mean for doctors and those managing healthcare
operations
• A concrete first step you can act on, whether you are in clinical practice, running a clinic, or
managing a hospital department
• The opportunity to ask questions directly and connect with fellow SMA members over food and
drinks after the session
