Cessation of SMA auto-deduction scheme
As of January 2025, the United Overseas Bank (UOB) has discontinued the SMA auto-deduction scheme for membership renewal fee payments via the UOB-SMA Visa Platinum Card. A notification letter was sent to affected Members via post and email in December 2024.
Membership renewal fees can continue to be paid via the following platforms:
- PayNow or DBS PayLah!
- Internet bank transfer
- SMA Membership portal (https://www.sma.org.sg/Login), where receipts can also be retrieved

Changes to National Adult Immunisation Schedule
The Ministry of Health (MOH) has made the following changes to the National Adult Immunisation Schedule (NAIS) based on the recommendations of the Drug Advisory Committee and the Expert Committee on Immunisation:
- Inclusion of shingles vaccine to the NAIS
- Updates to pneumococcal vaccines in the NAIS
