Synopsis:

In the Asian context, the family remains important in the overall care of the patient in both primary and tertiary settings. In most situations, the patient is the primary decision-maker however, engaging the broader family is necessary particularly, in paediatric and geriatric practice. This symposium explores the ethical issues surrounding informed consent and shared decision - making when families are involved in the process.

Guidelines and Requirements

 

Withdrawals/Refunds of Fees.

  1. Written notice of withdrawal must be received at least one (1) week prior to the event.

  2. No-shows will not be accepted as a valid reason for withdrawal or refund.

MME Attendance Submission

  1. SMA will submit MME attendance for participants who attend at least 75% of the live session.
  2. Submission will be completed within two (2) weeks after the webinar.

  3. Kindly note that MME attendance submission is not applicable to participants who did not register via SMA and joined the session using a Zoom link from other sources.
  4. To ensure accurate records, SMA will only be able to submit attendance for participants who provided complete and correct MCR numbers during Zoom registration.
