Responsibilities
The Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS), National University Hospital, is seeking candidates for Locum Registrar in the field of Cardiothoracic Surgery. The department of CTVS provides a wide range of specialised services including Aortic, Endoscopic (MICS), Anaortic bypass, Uniport VATS, Wire skills (Vascular), Simulation training programs, and Research exposure at the National University Hospital, a top medical center of excellence and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, one of Asia’s best medical education and research institutions. The Locum Registrar will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing day-to-day patient care in adult cardiac surgical specialty, involved in both outpatient and inpatient areas, assisting in invasive and non-invasive investigations or procedures. The Locum Registrar will also assist in all aspects of pre-operative, operative and post-operative patient care in adult cardiac surgery including assistance in clinic, operating theatre, day-to-day ward rounds and on call duties.
Requirements
- Full Registration with Singapore Medical Council
- At least 18 months of experience in Adult Cardiac Surgery
- Basic Medical Degree and Postgraduate Medical qualification(s) recognised by the Singapore Medical Council
- Prior work experience in an acute hospital setting
- Keen interest and/or credentials in research would be an advantage
- Good oral and written communication skills
